It’s the middle of March. Basketball fans, you know what that means: March Madness is in full swing! Nothing pairs quite as nicely as a fresh brew and a March Madness game. Luckily for you, Loren’s surrounding neighborhood has no shortage of hot spots where you can get just that. Here are our top local hang-out spots this March Madness:
Local brewery Dogfish Head has an alehouse location right in Falls Church. They have at least ten unique, local brews on draft at any given time, and happy hour from 4-7pm every Monday through Thursday. It’s the perfect spot to grab a pint and watch the game. Plus, Dogfish Head brewing has a special bond with the Loren community. We love to feature their beers at our community events, and we have even partnered with them to host onsite beer tastings!

This local bar describes itself as “a modern take on the traditional Irish Pub.” It’s a cozy spot to grab a few drinks during the game. Plus, every Monday in March they are running their “Burger Madness” special, where you can get an All-American burger for only $5.99.

First Down prides itself on being “your game day headquarters.” They have the NCAA tournament playing every Thursday through Monday, and they are featuring special happy hour times for March Madness from 3-8pm. That’s five whole hours of basketball and happy hour!

Liberty Barbeque

Looking for a new, fresh spot to watch the game? Check out Liberty Barbecue, Falls Church’s newest local hangout. Liberty Barbecue is open until 10pm during the week, and 11pm on Friday and Saturday. They feature an extensive bar menu with fun cocktails, a nice wine list, and tons of draft beer. They are known for their wings, burgers, and barbecue, all perfect foods to enjoy while watching the game!
